You're Not Too Old for AI—You Just Haven't Been Shown the Right Tools Yet.

Beginner-friendly reviews of AI and website tools that make getting online—and earning—simple, even if you’re starting late.

“I want my reviews to be true, honest, report pros and cons, and give older and all men and women like me, a friendly place to get real-world information!”

WHO I AM (AND WHY YOU SHOULD TRUST ME)

I’m Richie, and I’m 75 years old.

This is my very first website.

Before you click away thinking “what does a 75-year-old know about AI?”—let me tell you why I might be precisely who you need.

MY BACKGROUND:

I’ve been designing since 1983. Indeed, my experience began with outdated products such as Photo Styler. That was eons ago, but I’ve kept up with technology.

I’ve been Microsoft Certified since 1998 and worked directly for Broken Hill Proprietary, an Australian oil and mineral company. They sold their IT department to Computer Sciences Corporation, and I stayed onsite—eventually moving to Shell Chemical with 3 other network engineers, managing an approximately 350-server farm.

That involved worldwide server support, including Office products, Exchange servers, 25 web servers, and SQL servers.

My certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+

BUT HERE’S MY FAVORITE PART:

My favorite assignment every year is being a Professional Santa Claus.

For those five minutes, I was that child’s whole world. My heart flutters just at the thought of the joys those children experienced.

THE REAL TALK:

Physically, I experience age-related hand tremors. But I’ve learned to deal with that.

When someone says, “I am too old to do that,” they are directing that statement at the wrong person.

I’m compassionate enough to realize that health and physical issues may cause some ability issues. But occasionally we’re just afraid to try.

I have consistently been a dreamer and have adhered to a personal mantra, even prior to Yoda’s famous articulation:

“Do, or Do Not. There is no try.”

I only pursue tasks that I genuinely want to do. And I want to keep up with computer and networking technology.

I have actually used the tools I reviewed.

What matters most? Age is just a number.

If I can learn new products and skills at 75, so can you.

WHY I STARTED THIS SITE

I was working with ChatGPT and Claude on my first website attempt.

When I ran into a problem with the basic GoDaddy editor and decided to migrate to Bluehost rather than upgrade the GoDaddy product, both AIs told me there was no migration tool.

I was going to have to rebuild my web pages from scratch.

I wanted to quit.

But Claude AI convinced me not to be a quitter. I had committed to “DO.”

So here is what I am Doing, thanks to Claude.

Turns out this AI stuff is really helpful, and Gepeyyo turned it into a real boy. Don’t jusge me!

WHAT I DISCOVERED:

After testing, reading reviews, and talking to current users, I found that these products I’ve used can take you from start to publish in about 3 weeks—almost free!

Most products have free options that work just fine for beginners. Only one requires an upgrade at $20/month.

So for $20/month, you can have your website in production and published.

“Am I too old to learn this AI stuff?”

Not at all.

THE TOOLS THAT GOT ME HERE (IN ORDER)

I didn’t stumble onto success. I followed a path.

Here’s the exact sequence that took me from “frustrated beginner” to “published website owner” in 3 weeks:

STEP 1: START HERE – HOSTING 🏠
Bluehost
You need somewhere to put your website. Bluehost made it surprisingly simple for a 75-year-old managing his first site.
My take: From Fortune 500 server farms to my first website—here’s how Bluehost compares.

STEP 2: THEN GET YOUR AI ASSISTANT 🤖
Claude AI
This AI assist is the tool that kept me from quitting.
My advice: Start free until you run out of free characters, then upgrade. But honestly? Consider upgrading when you first sign up. You’re going to do it anyway.
Pro tip: Ask Claude something, anything, to get used to the interface. Ask what time it is where you are—like “Hey Claude, what time is it in Podunk, New York?” Be sure and watch his “Thinking Time.” Go ahead and call him out on it. When he gets it wrong, tell him Richie says hello.

STEP 3: THEN ADD DESIGN 🎨
Canva
You need images, graphics, and thumbnails. Canva makes it possible even if you’ve never designed anything before.
My take: I’ve been designing since 1983. Here’s how Canva stacks up.

STEP 4: THEN CREATE VIDEO 🎥
CapCut
If you’re making content, you’ll need video editing. CapCut is free and surprisingly powerful.
My honest rating: 7.5/10 difficulty—manageable even with hand tremors.

STEP 5: THEN ADD VOICE 🎤
ElevenLabs
The AI voice generation from ElevenLabs is so good that it even fooled my ex-wife.
My take: This product is the future of content creation, and it’s available right now.

WHAT MAKES MY REVIEWS DIFFERENT?

How can you trust me over someone younger?

That’s a worthy question.

There are plenty of YouTube videos on individual products. However, this webpage provides up-to-date personal use information that guides you through the entire process.

I’ve actually used these tools.

I did not use these tools for a review. I didn’t use them for financial gain.

I am writing for the benefit of my own business.

This is my very first website and webpage design.

I review every tool I come across. I’m using it right now to run this site.

At 75 years old, if I were only after a payday, I would affiliate with a Vitamin B12 and ED medication company.

But that’s not why I’m here.

I had trouble finding the information I needed when I was starting out. Real reviews from someone my age. Someone who understands

Understanding the challenges of learning new technology later in life is essential.

So I created what I couldn’t find.

Claude AI

This is the AI assistant that helped me build my entire business from scratch. Claude doesn’t just answer questions—it thinks through problems with you, remembers our conversations, and never makes me feel like I’m 75 years old learning new tech. This is the tool that changed everything.

Canva

Visual content creation made simple, even for someone who’s not a graphic designer. I use Canva daily for social media posts, YouTube thumbnails, and website graphics. It’s the difference between looking amateur and looking professional.

Bluehost

This is the web hosting service that truly works for beginners. I moved my entire site from GoDaddy to Bluehost and finally have the speed and reliability I needed. Plus, their support actually answers questions without making you feel stupid.

CapCut

You can achieve professional video editing without having to navigate a steep learning curve. I use CapCut for all my YouTube videos and social content—it’s powerful enough to make me look professional but simple enough that I actually enjoy using it. Free, fast, and it just works.

ElevenLabs

AI voice generation is so realistic it fooled my ex-wife. I use ElevenLabs for every video voiceover—it sounds natural, saves me hours of recording, and lets me create content even when my voice isn’t cooperating. This is the future of content creation, available right now.
